30 years ago today, May 25, 1984, “Parade” was being released. Not Spandau’s first album, but probably the first to deserve worldwide success, and it will happen again in few years for “Through the barricades”.
Looking at the video, I wonder if they were borrowing ideas from the 80’s fashion icons: dress and especially hairdress like Duran’s, glamorous environments like Madonna’s, even a white T-shirt with big black letters like Wham’s!
Ok, no problem, after all Tony Hadley is still the world’s coherence recordman: after saying for 25 years that he’d rather become a friar instead of making a reunion with his group, all of a sudden he changed his mind, of course!
