I should be so lucky – Kylie Minogue
On Dec 29, 1987 this very young australian girl released “I should be so lucky”, her first non-cover single. In fact, few months before she had reached success with a very famous cover, “Locomotion“. She was rather known as a tv actress, and the three guys Stock Aitken and Waterman were composing songs for her first album. They expected to release it in mid 1988.
It was probably very hard, in 1988, to forecast that this blonde girl would become one the greatest popstars for decades to come. Yet it was clear that she was full of talent and energy, of course.
In this song she hoped to be so lucky in love, and actually she was lucky! But as we said she was also full of talent, and that’s a fact! After 30 years she is still one of the icons of the 80s who never stopped, together with Madonna. Her concerts are definitely among the best popshows in the last decade, full of songs, dance, wonderful scenes and effects. She had the strength to fight a disease, and to tour the world for 30 years always with a big smile, always beautiful and sexy, always Kylie!
