Yesterday the news of Pete Burns’ death reached us. He definitely was one of those performers whose impact was so much bigger than the quality of his songs, even though “Youthquake” was a great album. Creative genius who transformed his restlessness into provocation, his anxiety for changing into such a fake perfection, that was hardly believable, due to his extreme peculiarity making him impossible to de defined and classified. And this artistic and human transformation went far beyond the huge Dead or Alive’s success. I am always fascinated by the skills of such characters to go far beyond the songs that put rocketed them into space. We will miss him.
