“When the rain begins to fall” actually contains just two stars. Maybe not the greatest icons of the 80s, but it’s a fact that we still remember them, and we are glad to talk about them. We actually knew something about Jermaine. His family name acted like a trademark for him. After spending his teenage years in the Jackson 5 with Tito, Jackie, Marlon, and of course Michael, Jermaine searched for his own career. We can say he was the most famous in the family after Michael.
In 1984 he joined the rest of the family for the Jacksons (without 5) reunion. They found good success with hits like “Torture”, and then we went for his career again. Here he happened to meet with Pia. Pia was in the middle between being an actress and a singer, she had a promising start in both careers. So destiny decided to put them together in 1985 for the soundtrack of a movie, where Pia also had an actress role.
The movie was “Voyage of the rock aliens” – probably not the best movie of the 80s. However, Jermaine and Pia found good success with this hit and with this video. It’s a fact that we still love them after more than 30 years! Ok, maybe the movie and also their clothes and hairstyle are a little weird now, but we were in the 80s and they were pefectly fitting in that style!!! Great job, Pia and Jermaine!
