Behind “Drop the boy” there was a typical boys tale. This was the topic of the Bros’ song that reached number 1 in many countries and number 2 in many others (like England). A couple of twenty-year-old boys who feel like grown-ups (the Goss twins were born in 1968), and don’t like to be treated as boys any longer. Drop the boy! And the funny thing is that actually they are commonly referred to as the first “Boy band”: a joke of destiny! Actually the idea of “boy band” was something new, it simply did not exist years before. At times of Duran Duran or Spandau Ballet, to make an example. To give an idea, at the beginning of his career, at the times of “Girls on film”, Simon Le Bon was already 23!<\/p>\n
It’s true: the idea of “Boy band” was born with Bros, and few years later grew to perfection with Take That and ‘N Sync… but we were already in the 90s, and that was a different story!!!<\/p>\n
