Now every time I go for the mailbox

Gotta hold myself down

'Cause I just can't wait 'til you write me

You're coming around

I'm walking on sunshine (Wow!)

In April 1985 we learned to love a song that everyone remembers with great affection and empathy. And I have to say that we all remember with great affection also the singer, a girl with overwhelming smile and energy. Katrina Leskanich was born in the United States, lived the first part of her life around the world following her father’s military career, until fate took her to England, where her musical passion had the turn of her life.

She founded a group named after her, Katrina and the Waves, and found the perfect song to enter the hall of fame of the 80s.

The video is quite simple but definitely as energetic as the song, and Katrina’s smile is the perfect image for this song.

The interesting thing is that they had already released the song two years earlier on a previous album called Walking on Sunshine… but no one noticed did it! Sure, it was a slightly different version, but on the other hand you know you have to keep up to get things done!! Great job Katrina!
