The Communards – You are my world
“You are my world” shows us how Jimmy Somerville was definitely a fantastic singer, both with Bronski Beat and with Communards, but look at his videos! He got talent! I mean, he could as well be a great director! Absolutely stylish art!!!
And we must remember that Communards released this song in late 1985. It was their first single overall. And for a destiny’s joke, following the fantastic success of “Don’t leave me this way”, the song entered the charts again in February 1987.
#quotefromthe80s
Your eyes to me are precious stones
On a face that's made of a solid gold
When I hold your hand I want to cry
