Madonna – Into The Groove
#quotefromthe80s
Only when I’m dancing can I feel this free
At night I lock the doors, where no one else can see
I’m tired of dancing here all by myself
Tonight I want to dance with someone else
#Madonna #IntoTheGroove
The roads of dance and cinema met several times in the 1980s.

Bon Jovi – You give love a bad name
#quotefromthe80s
You’re a loaded gun, yeah
There’s nowhere to run
No one can save me, the damage is done
Shot through the heart and you’re to blame
You give love a bad name (bad name)

The Smiths – Panic
Is it not existentialist to incite the hanging of DJs? I wouldn’t say so: it definitely has an aftertaste full of bluson noir!
Or at least that’s what the magical duo Marr/Morrisey thought, strongly resentful that the BBC had unexpectedly broadcast, after a reportage from Chernobyl in the immediacy of the well-known nuclear disaster,

Arcadia – The Flame
The topic of fear was not uncommon in 80s videos. Many videos had horror scenes, and of course the first of all was Thriller, but I must say that in general then music exorcised everything, and terror generally vanished in fun or great humour.

Depeche Mode – Everything Counts

Michael Jackson – Another part of me
#quotefromthe80s
The planets are linin’ up
We’re bringin’ brighter days
They’re all in line waitin’ for you
Can’t you see
You’re just another part of me
#MichaelJackson #AnotherPartOfMe
Another part of me is generally not the first song that people remember about Michael Jackson.

Righeira – Vamos A La Playa
We know them, and we expect them. There is an entire industry living on this: summer hits. There are radio and record companies that base their entire production, or at least the most important part, on the fact that certain artists come out at the beginning of summer with the right song to become a smash.

Tina Turner – We Don’t Need Another Hero (Thunderdome)
#quotefromthe80s
And I wonder when we are ever gonna change
Living under the fear till nothing else remains
All the children say
We don’t need another hero

What sort of fantastic days did we live in July 1985?

Kano – Another Life
The golden season of ItaloDisco brought a series of Italian productions to fame in much of continental Europe. In Italy, the measure of the success of a song in those times was given by two things: obviously the popularity it received in discos and then on the radio,
