Starting from the name! It’s about INXS, of course, one the icon groups of the 80s, also due to a real outstanding frontman, and to a fantastic album, “Kick”, released on October 19, 1987.
And Michael Hutchence really lived it all in excess, his career, his affairs with Kylie Minogue (they were the real ambassadors of Australia in the 80s), with top model Helena Christensen, with Paula Yates, formerly married to Bob Geldof, who sadly shared Michael’s same tragic destiny. Even his tragic fate was in excess, as Simon le Bon had anticipated in a song dedicated to his friend Hutchence just before his death, a song that he was never really able to play in a concert, overcome by emotion.
INXS had a long history even after Hutchence’s death in 1997, thay spent years looking for a new frontman, they also invited famous stars, like Terence Trent D’Arby for the Sidney Olympics opening ceremony, the played with many other singers, but they finally had to accept the fact that Hutchence was ultimately impossibile to replace.

I need you tonight
Cause I’m not sleeping
There’s something about you girl
That makes me sweat
