We need to talk about a guy who had less success that he actually deserved. First, if your name is Thomas B. Hooker and you choose the alias of “Tom Hooker”, and years later you cahnge your real name, you deserve respect. Then, if you have experiences in US and in Italy, where you had your success but also sang other guys’ song behind the scenes, you deserve much more respect. If we now find out that you also wrote other famous italo-disco songs like Eddy Huntington’s “USSR”, you are almost a legend of the 80s. But when we find out that in the lyrics of your most successful song you were able to summarize the feelings that we have today, thirty years later, then you surely are the ultimate legend of the 80s!

Paris – Tokyo – anywhere you go,
New York – London – love is in the air,
1986 is in the show,
still today the feeling´s always there…
