Maybe not like Duran Duran… but they became the Blow Monkeys nevertheless! Yet they were cool, and very peculiar.. maybe if they insisted a little bit more, and found some more lucky clovers in their way… who knows!!
I think Dr Robert showed plenty of courage and talent in 1986, when he wrote “Digging your scene” about homosexuality and HIV. And he talked quite openly about it! It was not an every day topic, at thos times, even if people was slowly getting more and more aware. And with such a sensible topic, The Blow Monkeys reached very high places in the charts both in UK and in the USA, and they finally became worldwide famous.
