Transvision Vamp – I want your love
“I want your love” was the proof that the recipe for success was still valid in 1988. We talked about that: if a group wanted to reach success, they needed a good sounding song (good, not really a masterpiece), they had to create an engaging video, of course they needed a sexy and appealing front girl or frontman, but they also definitely needed a very very good name for the group. Many had succeeded with this recipe: Eighth Wonder, Picnic at the Whitehouse, Kissing the Pink, Living in a box…
Wendy James knew this recipe by heart, because she tried harder and harder and finally created Transvision Vamp. She had all the ingredients: the name of the band was irresistible, she was so sexy and teasing (doesn’t she remind of the early Patsy Kensit in Stay with me?), and when they finally found the right song, they created the engaging video, and they were in for success!!
Success came, and stayed with them for about one year, not much longer. But after thirty years we still love to hear Transvision Vamp!!!
