Was (not Was) – Walk the Dinosaur
“Walk the dinosaur” is a song connecting prehistorical periods to the history of pop. In other words, il tells the story of Was (not Was), written in brackets. A couple of friends from Detroit who, after some ten years with minor satisfactions, finally reached worldwide success. They had a pleasant happy song, they added a video that could be enjoyed by kids and grownups. The song is a funny joke about living in a prehistoric world. And from pre-history, Was (not Was) go straight into pop history!!! Boom-boom, lacka-lacka-lacka boom!!
#quotefromthe80s
It was a night like this forty million years ago
I lit a cigarette, picked up a monkey, start to go
The sun was spitting fire, the sky was blue as ice
I felt a little tired, so I watched 'Miami Vice'
