William Pitt – City Lights
“City lights” represents the typical case when the song is more famous than the author. We said so many times, the 80s were years of great artists, but also years of meteors. The point is, meteors did some great songs as well, maybe just one great song, but they maintained thousands of fans for years. Just like William Pitt, who broke the ceiling 30 years ago with this fantastic song that is still played on the radios, in the classics and easy listening hours.
Yet we don’t know that much about William Pitt, he left his career quite early. But if you look on youtube for this video (exactly this), you will se among the main comments… William Pitt with his real name, with the astonished fans writing after 30 years that we was a star, and he answering oh thanks, very nice, vey kind. So maybe he was a ghost, but definitely a nice and very kind ghost!!!
