Europe – Carrie
“Carrie” talks once again about space and astronauts. Maybe Europe really wanted to be space travelers. After all, their whole album is about this: the countdown, the excitement for the departure in “Rock the night”, and even the moment of fear and upset in the crying farewells of this song. Or were they crying for the art names that they had chosen, like “Joey Tempest”, “Kee Marcello”, “Tony Reno”… I might have been desperate too!!
Anyway, “Carrie” was a powerful love ballad. Fans do still love it after thirty years. And so, after the other great hits “The final countdown” and “Rock the night”, Europe jump again on top of the charts with the third single from their album!
