Cold days when Nikita climbed the charts in Autumn 1985. In Russia I guess it was already snowing in the big chill. And 30 years ago also the war was cold! But sometimes Sir Elton John showed out there with his red cabrio. He warmed the hearts of young soldier ladies, promising everlasting bowling matches, dressed in awkward outfits!
Ok, maybe the video is a little bit naive, nut it’s undeniable that Nikita left a deep mark on the 80s!! Yes, it was the period of the cold war, of “Russians”, “Two tribes” and a lot of other songs, but it’s a fact that Elton John told this story in his own way… and it became a masterpiece!!
The star of the video is the English athlete and model Anya Major, who started her career in a commercial for Apple Computers. But of course also Elton John on a Bentley dressed in Watford FC colors is an absolute star!!!
