“Top Gun” definitely represents one of the icon movies of the 80s. I think almost everyone who has been a teenager in the 80s, has seen at least one time the story of Maverick, Goose, Iceman, all the other pilots, and instructor Charlie. Tom Cruise, Kelly McGillis, Val Kilmer really marked a milestone in the story of 80s movies. Released in 1986, this movie won many awards in the following years, especially for sound effects and soundtrack.
The main song, the unforgettable “Take my breath away” won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award, among other prizes. We can enjoy the story of this soundtrack in this fantastic video by Starlight Production. The soundtrack topped the charts for many weeks, and was the best selling soundtrack in 1986 and one of the best selling overall. In fact it reached Platinum certification for 9 times!
