Spandau Ballet – How many lies
Dear dinosaurs, as you might know this is the Sanremo festival week in Italy. 30 years ago, in 1987, it was probably not the best festival in history, though it’s a fact that some evergreen songs were presented there and made history. Before coming to winners and losers, let’s talk about guests: a whole lot of guests, big names, wonderful hits. I just mention Vi dico solo Whitney Houston, Level 42, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Simply Red, Bangles, Duran Duran, Pet Shop Boys, Eighth Wonder.
Spandau Ballet were also there, and presented a fantastic song from their newly release album “Through the barricades”. And it’s definitely one of the songs I love more!! “How many lies” was their new hit, in February 1987. They had just released this new single, after the worldwide success of “Fight for ourselves” and “Through the barricades”.
