LL Cool J – I need love
“I need love” is the flagship of an original artist, LL Cool J. Another symbol of the transition between 80s and 90s. Not only for the song, where rap overcomes music, almost non-existing, but also for his look, kind of prototype of Pharrell Williams! Yet we had rappers in the 80s, but in those songs a very good music had to sustain some degree of rap, like in Walk this way or even in the easy Holiday Rap. Now, LL Cool J is just the opposite: I rap, and i put a sort of jingle in the background! After all, if you need love, you cannot be too inspired!
