Debbie Gibson – Only in my dreams
“Only in my dreams” was really a kind of lucky wish for Debbie Gibson! Needless to say that she had uncommon gifts as an artist and also as an entrepreneur, because she succeeded in evolving her career many times, and she also opened her own record label. To be honest, she had immediately shown uncommon talent. She might have looked like another 80s teenager who found the right song, but actually she had an impressive background: with the song “Foolish beat”, taken form the same album as “Only in my dreams”, she became the first woman and the youngest artist ever to hit the top of the us charts with a song that she had written produced, and performed a number-one single on her own. She was only 17, and she entered the Guinness Book of World Records. And, she did all with her real name (yes, she had also a perfect name, need to say! 🙂 )
Not just beauty: with her outstanding talent she could turn her career to movie and tv actress, and musical singer. Maybe this career existed only in her dreams, but many other artists could just dream of such a successful career!
#quotefromthe80s
If I only once could hold you (no, no, no)
And remember how it used to be
If only I could scold you
And forget how it feels to be free
