Eurythmics – Thorn in my side
In Eurythmics’ side, of course. And they had a lot of thorns in this video 🙂 : hell’s angels, the vocalists looking like mannequins at a low reputation bar, even the sax player of Blondie!! They had a whole crown of thorns, in their side!!
Back to serious, in early 1987 this hit was at the peak of success. Actually Eurythmics released it in Summer 1986, a couple of months after “When tomorrow comes“, which had also launched the album “Revenge”. I mean, this album is really a milestone in Eurythmics’ history! “Thorn in my side” overcam the success of “When tomorrow comes” in terms of sales. It climbed the charts, but sadly it was the last Eurythmics’ single to enter the British top ten!
