Sade – Your Love Is King
She is a worldwide famous, highly respected and beloved singer today, but in February 1984 she was virtually unknown, unless to those who attended jazz clubs in the London area.
She was a model who had studied as a designer, and who especially had a fantastic voice and taste. And she had been able to create a style of her own, in the middle between jazz and pop. In few months the world will define her style “Smooth”, taken from one of her greatest hits.
And so, it was a February 25th when Sade released her very first single, which quickly became a hit and quickly made her one of the icons of the 80s. She was 25 years old, and since that day her life changed forever.
Her music, but above all her style, the atmosphere of her videos, her elegance and beauty really became a reference for the music of the 80s. And she was really unique: no one could look like her or get closer, or do anything like that. Maybe Matt Bianco came close for the jazz atmospheres, but Sade still remains unreachable in her style.
