Pet shop Boys – Always on my mind

After all, everything Pet Shop Boys ever did was smart, exactly like “Always on my mind”. In autumn 1987 they worked to create a mini-movie with the songs of their album “Actually”. They work with a director, Jack Bond, maybe brother to the most famous James, and they finally release a real movie, “It couldn’t happen here” with Barbara Windsor.

Some footages of the movie are used for the videos of other tracks, like this song, which is a cover of decades before by Elvis Presley and many others. And after all they had just celebrated Elvis on tv, for the tenth anniversary of his death. So, finally: they release this single between november and december, and when will it reach the top of the charts? At Christmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssss !!!!

This video contains two funny things: the old actor, Joss Ackland, accepted this role just because his nephew was a big fan of PSB; then, listen to his final words at the end of the video… do you remember where we heard these words??

If you really can’t figure it out, I suggest you read this article… 🙂

Maybe I didn't love you
Quite as often as I could have
Little things I should have said and done
I just never took the time
