But also great fragility, for all of her life, between changes of mind and suicide attempts. We know the 80’s recipe for success, and the ingredients were all present.. But here, we had the extra additive: we know that in the 80s Italian or Spanish names were not so cool to have (just ask Den Harrow or Gary Low…), English names were perfect, but only one family of names were better than English: Irish, Gaelic names, better if unpronounceable. Nobody could hold you from success if your name was Siobhàn, Feargal, or even Sinéad O’Connor!
